Measuring up to the Resilience Challenge: The RMEL CoP and members, with support from the Global Resilience Partnership, IISD, Itad and Mercy Corps, took stock of how the growing RMEL community is generating and using evidence and knowledge to inform resilience practice and investment at scale. The convening followed the RMEL Conference 2018.

Deepening our Collective Knowledge of Resilience Measurement: Hosted by Makerere University School of Public Health, ResilientAfrica Network (RAN), the convening launched the RMEL CoP and deepened the strategy and workplan with the engagement of a growing network of members.


Rome, Convening 2016, July

Moving from Aspiration to Action: Hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the 2nd convening focused on building the community of practice. Through the activity of 44 participants from a range of institutions, sectors and disciplines, the convening articulated a draft vision, objectives and preliminary work program for the RMEL CoP.


New York, Convening 2016, April

Proof of concept: Hosted by The Rockefeller Foundation, 30 leaders in resilience measurement, monitoring, evaluation and learning discussed the rapidly emerging interest in RMEL, and explored the current state of frameworks, methods and experience. The convening agreed on the relevance of forming an RMEL Community of Practice, and identified the potential purposes it could serve.
